Dr Lauren Penn is an American‑trained, dual board‑certified dermatologist and dermatopathologist with more than 16 years of clinical experience in the US and UK. She completed her dermatology residency and dermatopathology fellowship at New York University (NYU), one of the leading dermatology training programmes in the United States, and now holds specialist registration with the GMC. She has served as a consultant dermatologist for nearly a decade and joined the UK Specialist Register in 2023 after moving to London.

Dr Penn specialises in the early detection and prevention of skin cancer, the assessment of pigmented lesions, and both medical and aesthetic dermatology. Her dual expertise in clinical dermatology and microscopic pathology offers a uniquely comprehensive perspective, allowing for more accurate diagnoses and tailored, evidence‑based treatment plans. As Skin Cancer Lead at the Royal Free Hospital, she brings this combined approach to complex and high‑risk cases.
